January 16th would’ve been Aaliyah’s 46th birthday and Mattel showed ‘Baby Girl’ some love by releasing a limited-edition Aaliyah Barbie doll. It’s an exclusive doll, a part of Mattel’s ‘Music Series.’ Almost as soon as the doll was released, it sold out!
I hope Mattel will release more of those. It’s a valuable collector’s item paying tribute to an R&B icon who tragically died in a plane crash back in 2001 but is still oved and cherished.
Thankfully, Aaliyah’s music lives on...the Princess of R&B!
