Wednesday night, President-elect Trump announced that long time supporter and Orlando man, Dan Newlin, is part of his next round of picks for his administration.
Trump took the announcement to truth social, saying, “Dan demonstrated exceptional investigative skills, successfully taking hundreds of violent offenders off the streets, including those involved in armed robbery, gang violence, human trafficking, and illegal gun and narcotics trafficking. In addition to his Law Enforcement career, Newlin is a business visionary who founded Dan Newlin Injury Attorneys. With his Law Enforcement expertise enabling him to navigate complex international issues, and his business insights fostering economic partnerships”
Daniel Newlin is an Orlando- based attorney, served the Orange County Sheriffs Office for 28 years, and us now the next ambassador to Colombia.
As founder of Newlin Injury Attorneys, a personal injury law firm, Newlin serves the Orlando community by representing clients who have been injured.
During his time with OCSO, he was honored with the Distinguished Service Medal for Sustained Superior Performance.
Newlin hosted fundraising event for the trump campaign in Orlando this year at the Republican National Convention which raised around 15 million for Trump’s campaign.
Along with being a true leader in Orlando, Newlin also donated a million dollars to the family of the fire fighter who was shot at the Trump rally in Pennsylvania earlier this year.
The loud and proud Trump supporter and local has been praised by Trump just before his second term in office.
