Tina Turner's unreleased song 'Hot for You Baby' to be featured on 40th anniversary edition of 'Private Dancer'

Parlophone Records

A previously unreleased song by Tina Turner is now out for fans to hear. Available on streaming services, "Hot for You Baby" will be one of the few unreleased tracks featured on the 40th anniversary edition of her fifth studio album, Private Dancer.

"Hot for You Baby," a rock song, was recorded at Capitol Studios in Hollywood and was meant to be released on the original version of the 1984 album, but didn't make the final cut.

Private Dancer went on to reach #3 on the Billboard 200, with its single "What's Love Got to Do With It" becoming #1 on the Hot 100 and earning three Grammys at the 1985 award show.

The 40th edition will arrive March 21 via a five-CD plus Blu-ray set, including a remastered version of the original album, an album of B-sides, single edits and extended versions. It will also feature five upgraded music videos and footage of live performances, including two Private Dancer tour shows at the NEC in Birmingham, England, in 1985, which featured guest appearances by David Bowie and Bryan Adams.

In addition to the box set, Private Dancer (40 Anniversary) will be released as a two-CD set, which includes an album of B-sides, previously released tracks and more, and on limited-edition pearl vinyl and picture disc vinyl. All formats are available for preorder now.
